Igniting the unlimited potential in kids and teens by creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments is exactly what the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast have done for more than 50 years.
Club administrators successfully envisioned thousands of young leaders thriving while strengthening South Mississippi communities as well as areas throughout the rest of the world.
“Our vision and our goal are that all of our youth graduate on time with a plan for the future,” said Resource Development Director Wayne Buchanan. “Whatever their goals and their dreams are, the Boys and Girls Clubs is here to help them pursue that dream.”
As part of the nation’s largest youth-serving organization, the Boys and Girls Clubs chapters in South Mississippi are anchored
in communities with strong, caring mentors giving kids and teens access to resources that help them thrive.
The coastal clubs provide after-school and summer programs for more than 6,000 students ages kindergarten through 12th grade. Club members have access to invaluable academic support, hands-on science programs, service clubs, college readiness programs, and workforce development programs, all
of which help kids and teens graduate high school with a definite plan for their future.
