wanting to do research, and the alumni association meets monthly at the FIC.
In 2011 the FIC was named for Aaron Jones, a highly respected coach and teacher. The building on the west end of the complex
was named the Edwin D. Cole Music Hall. But, best of all, was the day when the name of Carver High School went back on the building.
“We discussed it with the superintendent. He saw the value of the name of Carver going back up. He endorsed it when we went to the school board with the request,” Elly said.
He added, “You would be surprised by the number of people who had tears in their eyes to see the name back on the school. It’s just amazing.”
But if you ask Rodolfich, what’s amazing is the support the CHS Alumni has given to the FIC as their best group of volunteers.

This is the Carver High School football team from 1956. The Hornets, with their royal blue and white colors, brought pride and spirit to the school that ended during desegregation in 1970, but has since returned with the Aaron Jones Family Interactive Center.
