Put on your best Halloween costume and join CASA of Harrison County for CASA-tume on October 25 at 7 p.m. in the Beau Rivage Magnolia Room.
“Costumes are not required, but are highly suggested because we will have a costume contest,” event chairman Missy Dombrowski said. “We are again having CASA- tume because we had so many calls asking us why we weren’t doing it.”
Dombrowski and CASA Executive Director Jeannie Herrin are excited to announce that local jeweler Pav & Broome’s designer will sketch a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry for the live auction. There will also be a silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and music by the Miles Sharp Band.
“Support this event and be the voice for children,” Herrin said. “Together we can change a child’s story.”
This is CASA’s major fundraiser of the year and
they hope to raise $40,000, which will fund volunteer recruitment, training and support. CASA volunteers advocate for abused and neglected children who are in protective services in Harrison County. Since 2011, they have advocated for 1,895 children.
