Through making Gulf Coast inspired art, she aims to strengthen bonds among community members. “This area has been through storms and pandemics, but it remains beautiful because of the strength of the people.” That’s a tradition worth continuing.
Regarding her process, Berry admits, “Sometimes I sit in front of a blank sheet for hours, wondering how I will get it started.” Rushing the process is not her style. She enjoys sitting and thinking about what her creation will be and how she will bring it to life. “I always want to make art I will be proud of. You never know where it will go.”
Berry’s vision is to create an out-of-the-ordinary lifestyle brand with an artistic air that embodies the culture of the Gulf Coast. In the future, we can expect to see more of her creations come to life, fostering our Hometown Spirit.
