When llamas y, glasses raise. That’s the word on the street in Downtown Biloxi, where Fly Llama Brewing is preparing to open its doors.
Despite last year’s hurdles, David Reese, owner and brewmaster, carried on with his plans to open a new brewery on Bohn Street. The 11,000-square- foot, 10 barrel brewhouse will feature a full canning line, taproom and outdoor seating area that will be open to the public daily.
“The world needs something positive now more than ever, and our goal is to create a space where people can safely escape and relax,” said Reese. “We live in strange times, but at the end of the day, a cold beverage might just be exactly what we all need to remind us that we will get through this.”
At a time when breweries are closing all over the country due to the pandemic,
Reese believes the time is right to open a brewery in Biloxi. “We want to invest in our community and help spread the message that the Gulf Coast is strong and will prevail.”
Fly Llama Brewing will be dog and family friendly, both on its outdoor patio and inside the taproom. Located in the entertainment district of Biloxi, guests will be able to buy a beer to go and enjoy while walking around downtown. The taproom will have rotating tap lines and will o er a variety of classic beer styles, hazy IPAs, hard seltzers, and craft sodas.
