Veteran of the Quarter
Everett Kemp, security shift manager at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, was named Veteran of the Quarter by Harrah’s parent company, Caesars Entertainment. Kemp, who served honorably as a Marine for 24 years, was selected from hundreds of veterans nominated by their peers across the Caesars enterprise, which includes more than 50 casinos in the U.S. and Canada. He was chosen for the honor not only due to his service to his country, but because of his outreach and activism for fellow veterans as they transition to civilian life. Harrah’s General Manager Jonathan Jones presented Kemp with some gifts, including a framed photo of the property, a pin and a getaway to Harrah’s New Orleans.
Treasure Bay crewmembers honored at anniversary lunch
BILOXI — Crewmembers celebrating their 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year anniversaries with Treasure Bay
were recently honored at a special luncheon. COO Susan Varnes presented each with a certificate, photo frame, and cash award.
“These are the individuals who have helped create the environment that makes Treasure Bay so special. Their warmth and attention to the guests create the loyalty we have come to enjoy from our guests,” said Varnes, who herself was honored for 20 years at the Biloxi resort.

Bay. And, honored for 10 years were Thomas Florane, Mel Garriga, Lucretia Isaacs, Mario Kimbrough, David Martino, Betty Mayo, Brooke Thomas, James Worbington and Wendy Zhang.

Perfect Attendance
Pearl River Resort and Bok Homa Casino recognized more than 200 associates who achieved yearlong perfect attendance for 2021. Along with a pizza and hot wing party, each of the 207 honorees received a $500 perfect attendance reward, a commemorative certificate and a personal note from Pearl River Resort President and CEO Sonny Johnson. Pearl River Resort and Bok Homa Casino implemented the Perfect Attendance Program in January 2021. The incentive program also includes $100 for every month of perfect attendance.
