in a dish called “shaken beef.” This is a wonderful entrée with tender steak pieces mixed with peppers, onions and scallions in a rich brown sauce and served with lettuce, tomatoes and picked daikon. The rice that comes with it is great for sopping up all the sauce so we could enjoy the dish to its last bite.
Somewhat unique and certainly tasty is the “bird’s nest,” made of shrimp, scallops and vegetables in a savory sauce and served in a basket of crispy noodles (think taco salad in a crispy tortilla bowl). The best way to eat this, we found, is to break off a piece of the noodle bowl and use that to scoop up the seafood and veggies. But no matter how you dig in, you are sure to enjoy this.
Sushi enthusiasts are not forgotten at Lillie’s where the freshest in tuna, salmon and shrimp, among other fish and seafood, is used to make nigiri (fish on top of rice), sashimi (no rice) and rolls. We tried the Golden Nugget roll, with “golden nuggets” of lightly fried lobster with snow crab and cream cheese and topped with blue crab — we thoroughly devoured each delicious piece.

Lillie’s also has fried rice, classic Chinese lo mein, and pad Thai, along with roasted duck, boneless pork chops, fresh red snapper served fried or steamed, and the seafood platter with shrimp, mussels and snow crab served with an Asian Cajun butter.
Strawberry cheesecake — with fresh berries used to make the puree — is just one of the desserts offered, and is a cool, creamy, and fruity way to end the meal.
The open restaurant gives guests a clear view of the casino. There is seating at the sushi bar, as well as a full-service bar where guests can watch the game, enjoy a drink, and have lunch or dinner.
Lillie’s is open Monday through Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m.; Friday, 5 to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Cheesecake with freshly made strawberry puree is a cool and fruity way to end a meal.
