New chef, expanded menu, tasty food
Hard Rock’s Macau Kitchen cooks up authentic Asian dishes
BILOXI — What started as a little noodle bar at Hard Rock Biloxi has grown into a full restaurant serving a variety of Asian specialty dishes. It is Macau Kitchen, and with a new room chef and a new menu, diners are enjoying even more classic Vietnamese and Chinese entrées, along with soups, pho and sweet desserts. Adjacent to the Fortune Palace gaming area, the restaurant is located at the front of the main casino entrance.
While many guests get their meals to-go, we dined in Macau Kitchen, an open-style restaurant that allows diners to watch as casino guests go by. But, instead of watching the crowds, we were too busy looking at our plates and taking in all of the delicious food prepared by Chef John Le, who recently joined the Hard Rock team from New Orleans.
The menu is filled with an array of items, starting with such appetizers as shrimp and pork spring rolls, seasoned edamame and fresh-catch boiled shrimp. We tried the new duck lettuce wraps, featuring a generous portion of stir-fry roasted duck meat mixed with onions, water chestnuts, and red and green peppers. This is a DIY dish as
