Labor Day Weekend made for winning
MISSISSIPPI — Labor Day, the holiday that marks the end of the summer season, is always the first Monday in September. This year that happens to be Monday, Sept. 2. Many of your favorite casinos are celebrating Labor Day all weekend long — starting Friday, Aug. 30. There are major giveaways on Saturday, Aug. 31, as well as Sunday, Sept. 1.
Information on these Labor Day Weekend giveaways can be found throughout this issue of Jackpot!, but here are some additional happenings guests won’t want to miss.
Palace Casino Resort
Palace Casino Resort is hosting the Labor Day Weekend Cash & Power Play Giveaway, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.
Players club members are earning entries now for a chance to win. Receive one free entry and one entry for every 100 slot points earned or with a table games equivalent. Visit the kiosk for drawing check in 30 minutes prior to each drawing.
On Aug. 30-31, 34 winners will be selected from 8 to 10:30 p.m. to receive $100 in Power Play. At 11 p.m. on Aug. 30, four winners will each get $500 cash, while on Aug. 31, the four 11 p.m. winners will each get $750 cash.
On Sept. 1, drawings start at 6 p.m. A total of 30 winners will be selected until 8:30 p.m. to receive $100 in Power Play. At 9 p.m., the top 10 entry earners will share $15,000 in cash and Power Play. The first-place winner will receive $5,000, followed by $2,500 for second, $1,750 for third, $1,500 for fourth, $1,250 for fifth, and $1,000 for six. These prizes will be paid half in cash and half in Power Play. Power Play will be paid to those in seventh through 10th place.

Boomtown Casino
Boomtown Casino Biloxi has the $10,000 Slot Tournament on Aug. 31. Players club members who earn 100 points that day can participate in the tournament, which is held 4 to 8 p.m. The top 50 high scorers will win a share of $10,000 PENN Slot Play.
Treasure Bay
At Treasure Bay, the poolside summer music series comes to a close with local favorite Kelsey Moran performing Saturday, Aug. 31, 2 to 6 p.m. Moran performs out on the top deck of the pool terrace, located directly behind the hotel tower. Plus, guests can
enjoy food and drinks at Agua.
Beau Rivage
Celebrate Labor Day at Beau Rivage with festive holiday fare and live entertainment throughout the course of the holiday weekend.
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 31, the Buffet will feature a special menu from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 2. Diners will enjoy herb-crusted prime rib, grilled
sirloin, and New Orleans-style barbecue shrimp as well as a spicy shrimp boil (pictured).

menu is $49.99, and brunch, served from 8 to 10 a.m., is $32.99 per person.
Salt & Ivy offers its traditional weekend Champagne brunch Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The brunch features bottomless mimosas.
In addition to its full menu, Jia has
a Labor Day Weekend special meal of spicy abalone tataki for $38.88. And, in the Roasted Bean, lemon berry shortcake will be served Aug. 30 through Sept. 2.
On the pool deck, DJ Hyphee will be spinning the tunes from 1-6 p.m. on Aug. 31 through Sept. 2.
Pearl River Resort
Pearl River Resort is home
to the Labor Day Weekend Double Big Bang Session
on Sunday, Sept. 1.
There will be double the prizes during the main session. Doors open at noon. Early Bird games start at 1 p.m. and the main session is a 1:30 p.m.
Earlier in the month, the Silver Star Convention Center hosts the $10,000 Sizzling Hot Bingo featuring $10,000 in prizes.
Magnolia Bluffs
Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel has the $12,000 Summer Cash Splash Grand Prize giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 31. Players club members are earning entries now to receive a share of cash and Free Slot Play.
Receive one entry for every 50 points earned through casino play, with double entries awarded every Tuesday
in August. Entries must be activated within one hour of each drawing time on Aug. 31.
On the giveaway day, four winners will be selected every hour from 3
to 8 p.m. to each receive $250 Free Slot Play. At 9 p.m., two winners will each get $500 cash. And at 10 p.m., five winners will each take home the grand prize of $1,000 cash.
