Palace to host PlumpJack wine dinner
 BILOXI — Those who like good food and enjoy good wine will want to visit Palace Casino Resort for the PlumpJack wine dinner. Held in Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood and featuring five gourmet courses paired with PlumpJack wine, the dinner is set for Thursday, June 27, at 7 p.m.
The meal starts with a grilled watermelon salad featuring candied pecans, goat cheese, tomato, cucumber and mixed greens. This cool salad is paired with a Cade Sauvignon Blanc.
The second course, paired with a PlumpJack Estate Chardonnay, features pancetta and peas with campanelle pasta
and cremini mushrooms.
Savor an Adaptation Cabernet Sauvignon with the first
entrée, lamb porterhouse with mint pesto and potato gnocchi. And with the second entrée, beef short rib, there is a PlumpJack Syrah.
For dessert, indulge in a Doberge cake with raspberry and chocolate ganache, paired with PlumpJack Merlot.

Father’s Day dining at Silver Slipper Casino Hotel includes two holiday meals. In the Jubilee Buffet, enjoy a Champagne brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plus, a holiday menu featuring prime rib, crab and shrimp will be available until 9 p.m. along with the full menu, all for $49.95 per person.
And in the Blue Bayou Bar & Grill, the Father’s Day special available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. features a cold-smoked 16-ounce ribeye ($68) with Maytag blue cheese topped with three jumbo shrimp and served with creamy mashed potato puree and asparagus. Brunch menu items are also
available.

Island View Casino
Treat Dad like a king this Father’s Day with a celebratory meal at Island View Casino Resort’s C&G Grille from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Start the meal with a crab and mozzarella arancini croquette topped with remoulade and pickled red onions. Let Dad choose between a char-grilled 10-ounce choice strip steak ($30) cooked to desired temperature and topped with an herb compound butter or bronzed salmon steak ($30) topped with a tropical mango relish seasoned and seared to order, both served with fresh green beans and baby carrots.
Strawberry shortcake will be the sweet ending to this mouthwatering meal.
Dockside Deli, inside Beach View Casino Resort, will also serve a festive feast
for Father’s Day, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The menu starts with a guacamole salad, followed by a choice of either chicken fried steak ($25) with mashed potatoes and gravy or salmon cakes ($25) with caper-lemon aioli, both served with green beans. End the meal with a serving of Chef
Calvin’s famous banana pudding.
Carter Green Steakhouse, located inside Island View Casino, will also be serving what Dad likes from 5 to 10 p.m. Start the meal with a choice of cucumber-crowned house salad or lobster bisque. Then choose between twin beef tournedos ($40) with Merlot syrup or crispy fried oysters ($40), both served with asparagus and choice of potato. The finale is chocolate cake a la
mode.
At Ameristar Casino Vicksburg, the Heritage Buffet is serving Sunday brunch on Father’s Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the all-you-can-eat meal is $18.95.
