MISSISSIPPI — Memorial Day is Monday, May 29, and to help commemorate the holiday, which has turned into a weekend event, several casinos are holding special promotions and giveaways.

Resort is serving Memorial Day dining specials that some even describe as epic. In Scarlet’s Steaks & Seafood, the “epic” smoked prime rib burger ($28) features an 8-ounce Angus beef patty and shaved smoked prime rib, topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, melted smoked Gouda and horseradish sauce on a toasted brioche roll and served with duck fat fries. Also available is the firecracker shrimp and lobster roll ($30) served on a split bun.
At Under the Oak Cafe, dine on the barbecue sampler ($35), which includes an oak-seasoned half chicken, quarter rack of ribs and jalapeño-smoked sausage with bacon mac and cheese and citrus coleslaw. Frozen lemonade pie ($10) with a summer berry compote and fresh whipped cream can be enjoyed for dessert.

Live entertainment can be enjoyed at Treasure Bay during Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday, May 27, Hindsight performs on the top pool deck from 2 to 6 p.m. The pool terrace is located directly behind the hotel tower. Plus, Agua, the pool bar and grill, will have holiday food and drink specials.

More than 100 winners will share $25,000 in Free Slot Play over Memorial Day Weekend at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. Starting Monday, May 1, players club members can receive one free entry and additional entries for every 25 tier credits earned through casino play. Ten-times entries awarded on Friday, May 26.
