 Wine dinner planned at Palace Casino Resort
 BILOXI — Palace Casino Resort is hosting a fall wine dinner on Thursday, Oct. 23, at Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood. The Paul Hobbs wine dinner, held at 7 p.m., features five gourmet courses paired with select Paul Hobbs wines. Guests will listen to a brief wine presentation 15 minutes prior to dinner in meeting room one.
The meal starts with a fried oyster salad made with domestic oysters and paired with a Paul Hobbs Crossbarn Sonoma Chardonnay. The second course, paired with Paul Hobbs Crossbarn Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon, is Hungarian mushroom soup featuring porcini, shiitake and cremini mushrooms.
The first entree is poached Faroe Island salmon with spinach, leeks, roasted tomato cream and gnocchi. A Crocus L’Atelier Malbec de Cahors is the featured wine with this course. Following a seasonal sorbet, enjoy beef tenderloin with an espresso rub and root vegetables. Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is served with this course.
For dessert, indulge in apple cheesecake with a candied pecan crust, paired with Hillick & Hobbs Estate Dry Riesling.
The wine dinner is $129 per person. Limited seating is available for this typically sold-out event. Reservations can be made through OpenTable.com.
  Fall into flavor with Pumpkin S’more cookies
Featured at Roasted Bean at Beau Rivage
 BILOXI — Pumpkin S’more is the cookie of the month at Beau Rivage’s The Roasted Bean. The cookie is just one of the October features in the coffee shop located in the shopping promenade at the Biloxi resort.
Along with the Pumpkin S’more cookie, special features include the Orange Dreamsicle smoothie and rocky road ice cream. The specialty coffee flavor is a decadent pumpkin spice and mint mocha, while pomegranate black tea is available hot, iced, or frozen.
The Roasted Bean is known for
its specialty coffee-based drinks made from roasted beans that are ground daily by the in-house master roaster. Along with coffee, there is espresso, cappuccinos, lattes and a variety of hot and cold drinks featuring signature flavors.
The menu includes breakfast fare, paninis, salads, burgers, soups, baked goods and assorted ice cream treats.
Featuring patio-style café seating, The Roasted Bean opens daily at 5 a.m. The eatery closes at 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
