 Palace hosts wine dinner in Mignon’s
BILOXI — Palace Casino Resort is hosting its first wine dinner of the year on Thursday, Jan. 23, at Mignon’s Steaks & Seafood. The Brown Estate wine dinner, held at 7 p.m., features five gourmet courses paired with wines from the Brown Estate Vineyards.
The meal starts with grilled halloumi cheese on baby arugula, tomatoes, cucumber, Kalamata olives and extra virgin olive oil. This is paired with a Brown Estate Betelgeuse Sauvignon Blanc. The second course, paired with House of Brown Chardonnay, is zuppa toscana with Italian sausage, bacon and winter greens.
The first entrée is braised lamb shank with tagliatelle pasta and pecorino romano cheese. A Brown Estate Zinfandel is the featured wine with this course. Savor a Brown Estate Chaos Theory Red Blend with the second entrée, filet mignon topped with a peppercorn brandy sauce and served with potato fondant and broccolini.
For dessert, indulge in an espresso bombe with pecan toffee brittle, paired with Brown Estate Petite Sirah.
The wine dinner is $119 per person. Limited seating is available, so make reservations by calling (228) 432-8888. Reservations can also be made through OpenTable.com.
