Poison to rock Pearl River Resort’s Silver Star Convention Center
Concert is July 3 before July 4th fireworks and birthday celebration
CHOCTAW — Pearl River Resort will be rocking in July. Poison, one of the most popular hair bands in history, with legions of fans world-wide, is set to perform. They’ll perform at Pearl River Resort on Sunday, July 3, with hits like “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Talk Dirty to Me,” and “Nothin’ but a Good Time.” And, a good time is guaranteed when Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall, and C.C. DeVille take the stage.
Then, Pearl River Resort’s spectacular fireworks display will take place at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 4. Pearl River Resort is inviting everyone to help celebrate Independence Day and the Resort’s 28th anniversary.

The 22nd Choctaw Indian Fair is July 13-16
CHOCTAW — The Choctaw Indian Fair is set for July 13 through 16 in Choctaw, Mississippi. The event includes the Choctaw Indian Princess Pageant, World Series Stickball, live performances, social dancing, a cornhole tournament and much more.
The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, July 13: Gates open at 11 a.m. Opening Ceremonies take place at the Main Stage at 6 p.m. The Choctaw Indian Princess Pageant begins at 7 p.m. The World Series of Stickball is at 10:15 p.m.
Thursday, July 14: Gates open at 11 a.m. See Ryan Hurd in concert at 8:30 p.m. and the World Series of Stickball at 10:15 p.m.
Friday, July 15: Gates open at 10 a.m. See the Casting Crowns in concert at 8:30 p.m. The World Series of Stickball is 10:15 p.m.
Saturday, July 16: The Rez Run 2022 is at 7 a.m. Gates open at 10 a.m. Closing Ceremonies are at 6 p.m. See Lady A in concert at 8:30 p.m. The World Stickball Championship is at 10:15 p.m.
Also at the Choctaw Indian Fair, be sure to check out the Inaugural Volleyball Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. Thursday through Saturday events include the Scales, Tails & Teeth Gator Show and the Birds & Exotics of the World Show.
Thursday through Saturday witness the Iron Warrior Competition and on Friday and Saturday, the Second Annual Cornhole Tournament will take place.
