Fitz gives to help feeding program, back to school
Fitz Casino & Hotel donated $10,000 to Free Grace Baptist Church for its Back to School Program and gave $5,000 to the Sacred Heart Summer Feeding Program. Fitz VP and GM Tony Scudiero presented the checks.
Gold Strike helps charities with ‘Play for Change’
TUNICA — This summer, guests at Gold Strike Casino Resort turned spare change into big impacts with contributions from the resort’s “Play for Change” program. Thanks to the program, which allows guests to drop unused slot vouchers into designated boxes on the gaming floor, Gold Strike was able to donate $5,000 to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, $2,500 to the Palmer Home for Children in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi., and $2,500 to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry in Walls, Mississippi.
“It feels good to be able to work alongside our guests and show what we can accomplish together,” said Mike Tamburelli, vice president of commercial gaming operations for Cherokee Nation Entertainment. “These contributions were carefully chosen, and we’re honored to support those who are changing lives right here at home.”
